Crochet Braided Cowl – WIP Update

I’m showing off some progress shots of the braided cowl I’m working on in Scheepjes River Washed today.

It’s a fun project, I love the effect the slanted puff stitches create.  Looking at it has an ASMR effect on me.  It’s soothing and makes my scalp tingle a little.  Do you know that feeling?  It’s the best.

The stitch is a little bit tricky, it’s taken me quite a while to get it just right, with the puff stitch in just the right spot.

It’s also a challenge to make the design work with only three skeins of yarn.  That puff stitch likes to eat the fibre.  But, I’ll get there.

Plus, I keep changing my mind on the colour choices. I don’t know that 981 Colorado (the red with blue fuzz) is working how I want it to, so we’ll have to see how it all works out next week.

In the meantime, get the yarn at Wool Warehouse*, who ship globally.
