Ta-DAA! Katran Crochet Stool Cover

I’m so excited to share this with you, my Katran stool cover is finished!

I’m beyond happy with the result of this project.  From the moment I was inspired I was consumed.  I had to choose my colours and make this as fast as I could.  And fast is just the right word – this is something you can whip up in a few hours, which after slaving for months on huge projects, has been a breath of fresh air.  It’s actually exactly the right medicine for me.

The way the colours change almost randomly is exactly what I was hoping for, I think it has captured the scrappy sari silk look that I was going for.

I’m going to have the pattern ready for you in a week’s time, so between now and then assemble your materials.

You’ll need:

3 balls of Scheepjes Secret Garden in your chosen colourway.  I went for 709 Lily Pond.

A 28cm diameter stool.  I got mine from Scheepjes, and you should ask your favourite retailer.  Failing that, you’ll be able to find them in discount home stores.

In North America you can order the yarn from Love Knitting or Knotty House (in Canada)

Or if you’re in the UK or anywhere else in the world Wool Warehouse is the place to go.

In the Benelux, head into your favourite Scheepjes stockist, almost everyone stocks this gorgeous yarn.

*Just a note: this post contains a couple of affiliate links which, if you choose to use when feeding your yarn habit, will earn me a small commission.  This helps me keep up the freebies and doesn’t cost you a thing. Thanks so much! ♥
